Oh my god....hold on this isn't a review because i haven't read but i have high hope for this book as i've read all the previous books and they just kept getting better. this one is soo NOT gonna fail me!

Just finished reading this and loved every minute of it. Perfect. And if it did not answer everything we would like to know (like just who is Angela????) then that it is fine as in life you never get everything answered. This was darker that the previous books but showed a real depth to the writing. I am only disappointed that there will not be more books about Eragon and Saphia.

What was supposed to be the final instalment in the Inheritance series largely keeps to the quality of the earlier books in the series. Christopher does a brilliant job of powering up Eragon while still making Galbtrox feel invincible and the ending comes in what was probably the best and most believable way possible. Unfortunately, the post-end is overly long with too much to say/setup, at roughly a hundred pages it takes too long to do what it needs to do and takes away slightly from the rest of the book.

I have been reading these books for years and I anticipated this for many of them. I have sat now and read the book for eight hours straight because I literally couldn't put it down. Without giving too much away I'd just like to say that Paolini's final instalment does not disappoint and you will be shocked and awed at the many twists and turns. However this novel has just left me hungry for more tales from Alagaesia and I will be awaiting conformation of a rumoured book 5 with baited breath.

This was a good read but sadly didn't quite match up to the other 3 books. It made you feel that it wasn't the end and not everything was expalined clearly, you just know that there is going to be a follow on to this as there are still to many questions to be answered. I would recommend it and have just donated my copy to the childrens library.
