Infested gave me strong Resident Evil vibes, which I absolutely loved as a fan of survival horror. The story jumps straight into the action and doesn’t really slow down, so I was hooked from the start. I kept wanting to find out what was going on and how Olivia would make it through.The parasite element was genuinely creepy, and there were some impressively gruesome moments (in the best way). Olivia was also a great main character—I really enjoyed seeing her grow and adapt as things got worse.It didn’t quite reach five stars for me, mainly because some ideas felt a bit familiar if you read a lot of this kind of horror, but I still really enjoyed it overall.Overall, this is a fast-paced and entertaining read that I’d definitely recommend if you like Resident Evil, parasitic horror, and post-apocalyptic stories.
