Reviews: Hunger (8)
“Amaze-balls!”
(Paperback)
by Ronan Sharkey
This book kicked ass!! 100 times better than the first I could hardly leave it out of my hands. Lots and lots of suspense, and its actually a tad scarier than the first. If you are reading this and you haven't read any of the series, buy the first one and read it quickly so you can jump into this one, which is an amazing read!
“it was amazing!!”
(Paperback)
by Tara Jayne Bell
After the amazing first book Gone i never thought it could be any more better, but i was so wrong, it was alot better, it did have a slow start but after a few chapters it did pick up, and i am glad i am a patient and fair reader. I loved how the character Sam Temple was portrayed in both books, i like how he is the brave, loyal and a hero in both books. Without Sam the books would not be what they are. I also like how they portray the other characters such as Astrid, Edilio, Quinn, Caine, Drake, breeze, Dekka and also Lana the healer, plus more. There is alot of tension, betrayel, and i may say scary parts. When i read books, i actually go into it and play a main part of the book, feel what they feel, and also i sometimes cry in books, i never cried in this one though. The ending was scary, and thats all i am going to say because i am not going to give away spoilers!!
“The sequel is just as great as the first!”

This sequel to Gone has not disappointed me in sucking me into a dark, gripping and easily addictive tale of struggle and betrayal. It shows unlikely people can save the day. A well worth read!
“Another fantastic book from Michael Grant”
(Paperback)
by JMH88
I don't think the second book in the series is as good as the first, but Michael Grant has still created a wonderful story with 'Hunger.' It is still full of drama, adventure, terror and mystery just like 'Gone' but delves deeper into the mystery of 'The Darkness' and the terrifying fate of everyone in the FAYZ. Hunger is becoming the main issue amongst the survivors and Sam is running out of ideas. With Quinn, Astrid and Edilio by his side, Sam finds himself in another battle with Caine, Diana and Drake. But there are bigger, darker forces at work when they discover that 'The Darkness' is trying to feed and become stronger. A really chilling and engaging book. The story starts to unfold even more and you can feel the desperation from the characters. New people (with powers and without) are introduced and the danger deepens within the FAYZ. I look forward to reading 'Lies' to find out what 'The Darkness' will do and whether Sam and his friends will ever make it out of the FAYZ. Another fantastically dramatic and thought provoking read from Michael Grant. Brilliant!
