“I feel so connected to this series!”

Thank you so much to Harper Insider and Harper Voyager for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my review! What an epic conclusion to one of my favourite series! I never want to leave these characters and this world - I feel so connected to them, and like they're actually real people. This felt like the perfect ending for these characters and their stories, and this entire series embodies the meaning of sisterhood and friendship, and I think it's so beautiful. This installment is non-stop from the get-go, as our gang of witches tries to stop evil from taking over the world, and I found myself completely shocked at so many points throughout this with what was going on. Every POV in this book felt so well done and well-written, with each character incredibly complex and you find yourself feeling so much for each of them. This is just one of my favourite series, I can't recommend it enough.
“Going out on a high!”

I have been dying to read Human Rites since the jaw-dropping ending of book two had me screaming at the pages – it did not disappoint! This was the perfect conclusion to the HMRC trilogy – I loved getting more time in the POVs of our favourite characters and seeing how they all handled the build up to the final battle. Every twist and turn had me at the edge of my seat and unable to put the book down. Not only did I love how the final confrontation played out, I absolutely loved discovering where all the women went from there, and how their own happiness played out. As always this series is full of incredible representation, and I was particularly thrilled to see honest and loving polyamory portrayed in this final book. This has just confirmed HMRC as one of my all time favourite trilogies!
“The perfect ending”

It's always bittersweet to read the final book of a good series. This one is no exception, Juno Dawson is one hell of a writer and the world of HMRC is so rich and cinematic. Human Rites is appropriately fast paced, given the imminent peril or favorite Witches are in, and picks up straight where it left us in The Shadow Cabinet and is full of surprises throughout. Some twists had me actually gasping and having to pause to collect my thoughts and absorb this new information. Such a ride. As with all the books in this series (Queen B being the exception) it's full of 90s nostalgia, which as a 90s baby is so comforting and makes the characters even more relatable. The way Juno has developed these characters from book 1 - 3 is in itself witchcraft. Genuinely some of the best characters arcs I've ever read. I enjoyed every single second of reading this series and am genuinely left feeling bereft that it's all over. I really hope we see more of the HMRC world in the future, spin offs, side characters etc. Just give me a lifetimes worth of HMRC and I'll be happy!
“Now this is how you finish a series!”

Thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It is difficult to talk about the book without giving spoilers, but what a ride this whole series has been. The characters, and this whole journey has been absolutely amazing! This book was fast paced, and definitely kept you on your toes until the very end. It is definitely bittersweet having to say goodbye to such a beautiful world the author created for us, but what an epic story this was!!!
“Way to finish a series! Fabulous...”

Such a good conclusion to the trilogy, it was very moving in parts and really drew on the previous books, developed and concluded the stories of the original gang of hebden girlies, alongside the other characters we have met along the way. Without giving any spoilers, this is hte best book yet, and Dawson writes a maturity and depth into the text beyond the magical highjinks that makes the final book even more moving, And what an ending for some of the characters - all very apt!
