“Making sense of our recent political history”
(Hardback)
Brilliantly weaves together the political and cultural strands that have shaped Britain since the turn of the century. Written in a really elegant prose, sharp analysis, and not without humour, it makes you want to keep reading as some of the more depressing episodes of our recent past unfold.
I would certainly recommend it as a great read in the lead up to the current election but equally I believe it will stand the test of time as an important reference point for anyone interested in Britain the early 2000s.
I was not aware of Andrew Hindmoor as a historian but having read this I would certainly be interested to read more from him. Thoroughly recommend.
“A must read for anyone with an interest or considering a future in politics”
(Hardback)
A interesting and understandable history of British politics since 2000 with an interpretation of the events that have shaped our lives.A must for anyone contemplating a career in politics or for those of us with a burning desire to understand who, what and why decisions taken have altered the lives of the British people and landscape of this once great influencer of worldwide events .
