A note just before you start this book, if you have triggers I fully encourage you to check out the list of trigger warnings this book has because there is PLENTY. LJ Shen has gone back to the dark side and oh, how I love it! Tatum Blackthorn was everything LJ promised, tall, dark and dangerous. I am completely addicted to everything and anything to do with him and Gia. Their story is brilliant! I didn’t hate Tate, I’ve never hated Tate. I knew beyond that tough, hard as stone exterior there was a story to be told and a story was definitely told, which just cemented the fact that this man is something different, something very special. When his past unravels and everything is revealed my heart ached so so badly. The way this man has been treated in life is horrible, it isn’t surprising he is the way he is. Some of the things that came out of this man’s mouth was shocking and had me sat with my jaw wide open. He’s cruel, he’s vicious and everything that’s the opposite of nice and caring. Gia, oh this woman is such a badass. even in the face of danger she keeps her sassiness, she stands her ground and doesn’t take sh!t from anyone. There’s a bit on an emotional rollercoaster throughout this book for her and I just wanted to hug her at all times, the tears kept coming to my eyes reading all the sad bits. This story, their story is everything. Their banter, chemistry, tension…everything wrapped up in to one intense ball of brilliance. LJ Shen truly outdid herself with this one. She brought us two characters that are so completely different from each other but work so incredibly well together. The way this woman’s mind works is insane, from the dark to the emotional, it blew my mind. I actually can NOT wait for Tiernan’s story and the rest of the books in the Society of Villains series. Handsome Devil is a fast-paced, deliciously dark and intense read with a whole lot of emotions in the mix. It’s Dirty, it’s brilliant and all consuming. A completely unputdownable book!
