This time she is taken on an out of this world trip to deal with the box and its evil once and for all; can Gwendy resist the box’s evil, can she overcome all in her path, can she save this, and all worlds? Chizmar and King bing to an end the Gwendy trilogy in their usual expertly weaved storyteller style. For the King fans there is some reference to his back catalogue which you will love and appreciate. Gwendy is now 64, works in politics and has had the box for a number of years, being the keeper of the box however comes with consequences; she now suffers from ill health which affects her memory. On a covert mission amongst a group of strangers, Gwendy must keep it together to succeed but can she do it with evil forces close by hell bent on getting their hand on the button box for their own ends? Lovers of King and Chizmar will no doubt love this thrilling end to the series whilst at the same time entice new riders into the Gwendy universe. I absolutely adore the Gwendy books and this final chapter doesn’t disappoint. A full 5 star review from me and really hope that Chizmar and King collaborate again on something new in the future.
