“Got You Back”
(Paperback)
I have read Jane's previous novel 'getting rid of matthew' and thoroughly enjoyed it. I found it very amusing and thought that the main characters very easy to relate to. Consequently i was worried that this book would have to be very good to top the last. Suprisingly i thought it lived up to the expectations left by her last novel. However i was rather disappointedwith the ending. In her previous book she tied up all loose ends and in this book left it hanging.I think the style of this book is rather sterio typed and that Jane has bought a edge of sophistication to this genre and i personally loved it.

(Paperback)
I hadn't read Getting Rid Of Mathew, but read an interview with Jane Fallon and a review of Got you Back on the same day and rushed out and bought it. I read it in one day and found it quite entertaining, but similar to other 'chic-revenge' books I'd read in the past. Yes, a good lightweight beach (or garden) read, but I agree with Nathalie, it went on a bit too long. We could see where it was going by about halfway through. It was also a bit repetitive in places and I could have done without some of the 'frock horror'.I wish Stephanie had been a non-media career woman character. I could go on a bit about grammar and other purist stuff. Boring. (but there could have been a bit more incisive editing too).
