I read this to my own children and now my grandchildren. Anthony Browne gets right to the hearts of children and the illustrations are wonderful.

My two loved Gorilla by Anthony Browne – my 4-year-old was hooked on the pictures, especially spotting all the cheeky little details, and my 7-year-old really got into the story and asked loads of questions about it. It’s sweet, a bit magical, and has that cosy bedtime story feel. The illustrations are just beautiful – you can look at them again and again and still spot something new. It’s one of those books that’s lovely for both ages, which is rare. Definitely a keeper on our shelf.
