“Chilling to the Core...”
(Paperback)
One day, at one moment, everyone in a sunny seaside town in California over the age of 14 disappears. No adults? Sounds great, or so the new citizens of the aptly named Fallout Alley Youth Zone (or FAYZ) thought, but slowly, the ugly side of humanity brings itself to the surface, and kids soon start trying to rule kids. Caught in all of this, Sam Temple and his best friend Quinn help fellow classmate Astrid to find her autistic brother, lost somewhere in this new world, without a parent to help him. As they start on their journey though, they discover that the FAYZ is weirder and more dangerous than anything they've come across before, and things are only just beginning...
Gone is an absolute Sci-Fi Horror smash hit, both a beautiful looking book in itself, but also a superbly written story of a world gone mad. The characters are highly relatable to the average teen population, and its Lord of the Flies brutality towards civilization is well updated to the modern, video game day and age. The plot is mysterious, dark and engaging, with threads running from several points to one awesome converging finale, which promises to be the start of an epic tale of a brave new world, were good struggles over evil, both human, and otherwise...

“Re-starred - 5 *****”
(Paperback)
I would like to change my star rating of this book to 5 and it was simply brilliant!!
A fantastic story that I would recommend to adults and teens. A book that Sci-Fi fans would love and a truly amazing narrative.
Fab!
“Amazing! You should so read this book!”
(Paperback)
My son had this book and was raving about it so I thought 'why not!' and began it 4 days ago.....and haven't been able to put it down since. every spare minute I have read it. It is an absolute must read for teenagers and 39 year-olds like me!
What an intense read and keeps you turning those pages!
Hunger is beside me on the sofa waiting for me to begin!
“Brilliant Surprise!”
(Paperback)
I am probably not the intended market for this book (the teenage/ young adult age group) and only picked it up when I had read all the other books that I had taken on holiday. I was certainly not expecting for it to be the best book I have read all year! I wasn't blown away by the writing style (although it is for teenagers) but the plot and characters hooked me in and it was immensely hard to put down. It is very reminiscent of "Lord of the Flies" in how the once good and moral schoolchildren descend into violence. Honestly, I loved it and I would definitely recommend.
“Seamless!”
(Paperback)
This entire book series has an expert way with maintaining a lot of the readers attention on the main storyline while also subtly setting up the next book in a way that is uncommon with the majority of books.
