In one word: Amazing! i actually got into this series by accident and was not disappointed. This series is full of twists and scenes that keep you on edge and wanting more. I just can't wait until the last book is released, where the questions the series has us asking are finally answered. I'd recommend this book to anyone and everyone

A past-faced, thrilling, page turning, full speed adventure! This is fantastically written, the plot is gripping and page turning. It was as if my eyes were glued to the page. Looking back they probably were. This novel is filled with life-like, understandable, likeable and loveable characters, as well as nefarious, shady, and flat out vile villains; but they also bring a sense of realty and understandable motives to the story. I could not have asked for more. I would recommend this book to mature eleven-year-olds up to seventeen. If you are into Ci-Fi, fantasy, or just like a bit of anything, this book is unquestionably for you!

This is one amazing, scary and, at times, disturbing read. With twists you'll never see coming and some rather original characters, this is a book you will struggle to put down. Fast paced, frightening and with a bit of romance, this has something for everyone!

Well...Michael Grant has certainly written a very gripping story! I couldn't put it down (except for when I was too tired to hold the book!), and it gripped me from the very beginning. The characters are all different and interesting to find out more about them and the descriptions are excellent. I'd advise anyone though who is planning to read it. Don't read if you want an easy read, something relaxing for bedtime, it makes your heart beat and it can be very complicated in parts. All in all though, it is excellent!

I would reccomend this for 15 and overs even though I am 12. This is a very graphic and well written book. It is the first in a 6 part sieries that are all if an amazingly high standard and I would reccomend it to any non-squimish people!
