Reviews: Glutton (2)
“Yummy”
(Hardback)
It’s like Ed is sitting next to you telling his story. Witty, true & relatable with any pinch of sadness elevated by humour to joy.
“Unsurprisingly Foody”
(Paperback)
This does exactly what you'd expect in terms of a book written by a comedian who hosts a podcast about food. It features a lot of information about dinners, a chapter in praise of cheese and a lot of additional comedy bits like an amuse bouche. I'd attempt to review the book in the manner of Ed reading his intro to the Off Menu podcast, but there's a reason I'm not a comedian so I will refrain. The small windows into Ed's non food life were interesting and he writes well, but the only confessional stuff you'll find here is the chapter about the day of pizza eating. I have no problem with that.
