I really enjoyed the twist on the vampire/werewolf/otherworld theme. Has enough teenage angst in it but goes deeper into the human emotion about things that we can not predict and control. The book was well written and I liked the characters created! The second book, kiss of life (under Dan Waters on here) is good too....

SPOILER ALERT:I love reading and I make sure I read every book untill the very end. When i started this book I was unsure I had never heard from either the author or book before but I liked the cover and the blurb so I brought it.At first it was really enjoyable, why were these teenagers living? I liked the fact that Phoebe & Tommy were in love & I enjoyed how the author descriped the dead teenagers. But then the story line ran dry and I found my self willing to read on. I didnt fully get the group they had all joined & the relationship between Adam & Phoebe confused me. The book then picked up again slightly when the dead teenagers fully died (again, there dead these teenagers. How do they die again?) The end was a real dissapointment what did it mean did Phoebe love Adam or Tommy? All in all I enjoyed the book but I dont think I will buy the sequel.

this book did kind disapoint me as it drags on a bit and includes unnessesary chunks of dialogue... further into the book it starts to get a bit more exiting but the majority of the book seems to be about zombie politics...
