1 binged this in less than an hour, it's a short book, but it certainly gives a lot. The authors world building was fascinating, I had to know what would be on the next floor! A fantastic start to a new series. I instantly felt that I knew the characters, really feeling for Jason as he searched for answers to what happened to his friend. Through the authors descriptions, I completely visualised what was occurring, especially the portals and the process on the characters. Sally and Jason worked well together, despite their love/hate relationship. This demonstrated the strength of their friendship to Simon and the need to help him. I'm excited for book 2 and meeting the characters again.
