Reviews: Fury Bound (50)
“Hooked from start to end. Great relationships- not just with you know who!”
(Hardback)
by Derry MC from Backseat Bookclub
I was hooked from start to end, even more so than the first book! We really got to know Meryn here, and I loved her. I don't often love an FMC, and I can see other reviewers found her either whiny or on a power trip. I didn't feel either of these. She was a breath of fresh air. I saw a woman stepping into her power, while navigating the self doubt and ethical issues that come with the choices she had to make. Nuanced, direct when needed, and cutthroat. BAD. ASS. Our side characters all gain much more dimension in this installment, and so many interactions had be frothing at the mouth for how happy they made me. Not just Stark, but her sister, her friends, and others I won't name for the sake of staying spoiler free. A few plot points were predictable, and one scene in particular felt quite jarring, but honestly overall I was absolutely feral for this. Despite these critiques I cannot lower it below a 5 because the emotions I felt throughout were so intense they deserve recognition!

“AMAZING NO NOTES”
(Hardback)
by Natasha Ryan
THIS. BOOK. THIS ACTUAL BOOK. I am UNWELL.Genuinely gobsmacked. Flabbergasted. Mentally pacing. You already know I loved Dire Bound so much I read it twice AND listened to the dual audio like an absolute menace to society (don’t look at me). So tell me WHY Fury Bound has me ready to immediately start it all over again like I’ve learned nothing???Zero. Spoilers. Not ONE. I refuse to be that person. But just know… when this lands on May 5th, we are ALL spiralling. Collectively. Publicly. No dignity left.I have not experienced peace since finishing it. I don’t think I ever will again.Anyway I’ll just be here… considering a reread like that’s a normal, healthy choice.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“This is how you do a sequel.”
(Hardback)
by stillreadinghere
This is how you do a sequel. Fury Bound somehow managed to be even better than Dire Bound. The pacing was fast, the stakes were higher, and the worldbuilding expanded in all the best ways. The magic, the politics, the history, and the characters all felt richer and more complex. Every time I thought I had things figured out, the story proved me wrong. This book took me on an emotional ride. I laughed, I cried, and I probably should have been more careful about reading in public. The addition of dual POV with both Meryn and Stark made such a difference. It added depth and made the emotional moments hit even harder. That ending though. Not exactly a cliffhanger but still left me staring at the page. July 2027 cannot come soon enough. Thank you to the Requited, NetGalley, and Sable Sorensen for the eARC.

“An action packed and spicy sequel!”
(Hardback)
by Amelie at Richmond
Meryn is back, and we return with her to the Wolves of Ruin universe, continuing directly on from the cliffhanger in book 1. The stakes are higher than ever before, as Meryn fights to keep her crown and the people she loves safe from her evil former lover Killian. In order to do this she must make great sacrifices and forge new and unexpected alliances along the way. As you dive further into the Wolves of Ruin universe, be prepared for a fast-paced, action filled adventure that packs a punch, along with some deliciously romantic spicy scenes. Overall, an excellent sequel that once again leaves me wondering, when can I expect book 3? Because I NEED to know what happens next. Thank you so much to Wayward TxF and Penguin for the proof copy!

Arc read - thank you to penguin random house and the authors for this early read!So now the formalities are done…oh my god. oh my god. oh my god. oh my god. I absolutely loved this book. It had every kind of banter you want in a book from the loving relationships to friendship relationship to the bonded and their wolves. The sassy direwolves - my favourite. Some of my favourite quotes are from Cratos and Anassa. Now back to the non animals. The yearning and tension that this builds is incredible. But even the friendships that grow are amazing. The development of these characters is great to read. Some I was shocked how much I ended up liking. Erm Lucien giving Carrion Swift vibes!? We are given STACKS of information in this book, along with the action and other stuff ? the pacing is perfect. It keeps you just in the perfect sweet spot of a chokehold. But as every good book there are trauma inducing moments. We have a few this isn’t all daisy’s and love hearts guys. Be prepared. The last 10% ? and THAT ENDING!! Jesus. Be prepared. WHEN IS BOOK 3!? I NEEEEEEDD IT
