It's no secret that I absolutely loved Direbound so I had high expectations going into this! I do find that sometimes sequels struggle to recapture the magic of a strong first book, but this certainly did not! Furybound deepened the world I came to love throughout Direbound, it raised the emotional stakes and delivered a darker more immersive plot. The tension between Meryn and Stark was just delectable ?? if you love a shadow daddy then without a doubt you will love Stark. I loved that the bonds between a lot of the side characters begin to deepen throughout this book making for a richer, layered story overall. I just devoured this boik in all honestly I have zero criticism.. and that ending?! It had me SAT, I'll need book 3 asap please and thank you

i had the pleasure of being part of the arc team for fury bound and oh my how amazing it was to read this early!! a huge thank you to the authors!! i started my journey for fury bound by re-reading dire bound, and oh how amazing it was to read again! i loved Meryn, Saela, Anassa, Izabel, Venna, and above all Stark! starting back from the beginning, i enjoyed so much to experience Meryns journey again, even when i knew where we were heading! furybound starts about right from where we are left in dire bound and we jump right into it! fury bound is heartbreaking, it's epic, it's full of rage but also love and heat. the stakes are higher and you literally just can't stop reading!! you learn so much more of the world, the characters, everything. and you fall even more in love with everyone (especially stark!!). it's a journey like nothing else, and i really enjoyed reading it! the chemistry and spice is even more better, and the new characters that are introduced are all amazing additions! i also really enjoyed that we get to see stuff from the point of view of stark! the ending once again leaves you wanting more, and with the title of the next book now revealed to be ruin bound, i cant wait to see what happens next!

We really got to know Meryn here, and I loved her. I don't often love an FMC, and I can see other reviewers found her either whiny or on a power trip. I didn't feel either of these. She was a breath of fresh air. I saw a woman stepping into her power, while navigating the self doubt and ethical issues that come with the choices she had to make. Nuanced, direct when needed, and cutthroat. BAD. ASS. Our side characters all gain much more dimension in this installment, and so many interactions had be frothing at the mouth for how happy they made me. Not just Stark, but her sister, her friends, and others I won't name for the sake of staying spoiler free. A few plot points were predictable, and one scene in particular felt quite jarring, but honestly overall I was absolutely feral for this. Despite these critiques I cannot lower it below a 5 because the emotions I felt throughout were so intense they deserve recognition!
