“Frolics, friends and fromage in the moon light”
(Paperback)
by Stuart Marshall
We all have friends that we just don't see enough of life gets in the way and yeah we should meet up, but then diaries clash and time goes by. But there is a solution send them a copy of this book, get the next full moon into your diaries, meet up and have an adventure. This book is ideal for anyone stuck in a rut and needing a bit more adventure, uncertainty and fun in their lives. The concept is simple - make something happen on the full moon get friends and family together and go for it. The book includes thoughts on getting started, a treasure trove of places and activities in the Lakes (and beyond) and ideas for adventures ordered by month - often with a liberal helping of anecdotes and cheese. Brilliantly inspiring, especially given easing of lockdown!

Ordered this book and was not disappointed. Inspired us to think of our own Lunarantics! What a great read and helps us to plan for adventures as lockdown ends.
“Inspirational”

A beautifully put together book, with some stunning pictures that gives a sense of achievable adventure. The diary style prose works a treat and the book takes you through the adventures of a varied group of (outdoors) people as they just have good fun around the UK Lake District (at night). I think the most impressive aspect of the book is that it provides an inspiration for others to follow. It shows you that you don't need to be an outdoors guru to enjoy adventure. All you need is a few mates willing/able to commit to a get-together once in a while, a few sensible pre-cautions (some cheese) and the desire to make it happen. The book shows us all that adventure, friendship and LIFE is easily within all our grasps. A dangerous book for anyone bored of the 9-5 Monday to Friday and stuck in a rut. A great book for anyone who wants a bit of adventure, fun and who wants to inspire their mates to join them
“Unique book”
(Paperback)
by Ashleigh Denman
With the current restrictions we have all been spending time outdoors and this book helps to add another way of doing this. I love looking at the moon when it is full and bright but have never really considered going out at night to experience it. I have been encouraged to do this by reading about all the adventures that John and his friends have got up to on their full moon nights. I expect my adventures will be tame in comparison but the idea of doing a walk that I know well after dark and experiencing the familiar in a completely different way really does appeal. John's adventures sounded fun filled and the book is very well written. I would recommend it to anyone who loves the outdoors.
