As usual a superb outing for Thorne. I can't really say anything other than that! Sad about Elvis though.

If so, whose body was in the burnt out car all those years ago? D.I. Tom Thorn investigates the case only to discover a web of deceit, betrayal and murder. Mark Billingham's novel is thoroughly engaging from the start and it rattles along at a cracking pace with enough twist, tuns and misdirection to keep the reader engrossed until the last page. Recommended

Tom Thorne is one of the best detective's ever. All the characters are as loveable as ever. I can not wait until it comes on TV because if it's as great as the books it will be a treat to see all the characters come to live.

From the first page to the last I was engrossed and was not disappointed at any point. The twists and turns throughout were well written and the pace relentless right up to the finale. DI Thorne is right up there with the best If you haven't come across him yet, you are missing a treat. It definitely deserves 5 stars plus.
