“Walk like an Egyptian....”
(Paperback)
by Karen Wiley Telford
When Docia is killed in a hit and run she's given a choice - die for good or share her body with an ancient Egyptian spirit who will eventually have permanent control. Docia wants to live so decides to opt for the body sharing. When she comes around (much to the surprise of her brother who thought she was dead) she finds herself on the run with Ram, the Egyptian spirit inhabiting the body of guy called Vincent. Turns out Docia is carrying the spirit of the Pharoah's queen and they've got enemies after them. Even more problematic is Ram and Docia's growing feelings for one another when she's meant to be with the Pharoah once he finds himself a body. This is an interesting book, I've never read one with this kind of story and must admit I found it a bit strange. The idea of sharing your body with another entity and it's moral dilemmas are kind of glossed over and it's not entirely clear who Docia's feelings are really for: Ram or Vincent (she claims both but I'm not quite sold on it). Overall an entertaining read .
