Reviews: Fool’s Quest (2)
“A great second instalment”
(Paperback)
Exactly what you want from this last trilogy. In my previous review of Fool’s Assassin, I wrote that it was paced slowly and drew you away from characters or locations you missed, such as Buckkeep or Nettle.
The Fool’s Quest builds off from Fool’s Assassin world and character building and plunges you straight into the heart of the story, Bee has been kidnapped, Fitz and the Fool are reunited, as well as being back amongst family and friends. This means interactions you’ve wanted to see, and to see what characters from the Tawny Man Trilogy have gone on to do.
There are unexpected turns and events that keep you guessing, wanting to know if you were indeed correct, and the abrupt ending only adds to the feeling you must know what happens next.
“How we've missed you Fool”
(Paperback)
Remember when you thought one day Fitz will treat the Fool properly one day he'll respect him. You knew it was a dead hope but for the Fool's sake you hoped. Keep hoping. But the Fool's back! And so is Bee! What more could we ask for? I really enjoyed the addition of Ash and Spark and looking forward to reading the next.
