The story is well written, almost tragic in places but what can you expect from the mind behind Blackest Night. The story is similar to 'Planet of the Apes' in the respect than Allen is a man out of time, learning how this new parallel world works. The alternate reality angle also provides a brief 'what if' glimpse into the lives of other heroes we know and love. Zoom, despite his awful dress sense, is a villian you love to hate. Unable to kill Allen for fear of erasing himself from all time, he has engineered the perfect revenge and completely ruined Allen's life. You have to read this to find out what happens...
