(Paperback)
A cleverly constructed debut with clues aplenty to keep your brain working.
Paul Dobson is the crime reporter for the York Press & enjoys cryptic crosswords. After an apparently random murder in York, he receives a cryptic message on his work email which he dismisses as a crank post. On receiving a second message, he contacts the Police Press Liaison Officer with whom he has a good working relationship. The message contains information that only the murderer would know & also indicates that another death will occur. Can the clues be solved in time & why are they being sent to Paul?
The story moves at pace & keeps you engrossed. As a reader you try to solve the cryptic clues but not being able to is no deterrent to enjoying the evolving mystery.
