The book contains a wealth of recipes that are easy to follow and the bakes are easy to make. There is no use of the oven for the recipes in this book, but there are times when you may need to melt butter/use a microwave. Because you aren't going to be putting things in a hot oven, I would think the book would be great for little kids. They can make loads of cheesecakes etc (under supervision of course) and get a real feel for making things. The book is worth every penny, every recipe is photographed.
