As you can probably tell I love a good thriller. This book is part techno-thriller and part spy thriller. Now being truly honest I rated this as a 3 star to start with and I nearly put this book down it was that slow. Not like the thrillers I like. But I kept reading and as I did so the book rose to a 4.5 stars as it picked up its pace. The premise can seem so unrealistic and there is a LOT of set up work for this book but bear with it. The talk of AI throughout poses some interesting questions whilst you read it. How "good" tech can quickly be used for "bad" purposes. Things, people nor tech, aren't always what they seem. Nor is this book judging by my initial assessment. This feels like a great intro into another series for me. So much so I have added the next 2 books to my "Want to Read" list on Goodreads.
