This is a terrific anthology containing ten short stories that are bursting with female power and unquenchable fire. Adventurers, witches, pirates, superheroes, dragons, shapeshifters, blacksmiths, and even the River Styx take us on journeys filled with fun, love, excitement, spice, and drama. The representation in the collection is wonderful, with stories focusing on lesbian and bi/pan central characters, including those who are ACE. My favourite story is "The Fire Swamp Is For Lovers," which is both incredibly funny and yet deeply powerful and thought-provoking. I also loved "The Flamesmith," which is beautifully written, and both "Flame Retardent" and "The Ferry Maiden," which are very amusing. There are no weak stories in the collection, just a guaranteed HEA.
