“The writing of grief”
(Hardback)
by Katy Wheatley
Fuller is such a strong writer. Her words are muscular and powerful, pulling the reader in and not allowing you to come up for air. Here, in this memoir of the loss her her son, things begin to fall apart. Reality starts leaking in and words break down. I think this is a bold effort at grappling with such an intangible, difficult subject and the sheer overwhelming presence of a grief which is both incomprehensible and all too understandable.
