Reviews: Fallen (7)
“A return to form for Karin.”
(Hardback)
This latest thriller from Karin Slaughter puts her back on the top of the crime writing list.
I had gone off her a bit after Skin Privilege but this, and the previous book, Broken have put her back in my favour.
Combining the two main characters, Sara Linton and Will Trent, from her two different series seems to work well and I for one am glad to see them working together on this case involving Will's partner Faith and the hunt for her missing ex-police chief mother.
“Tense”
(Paperback)
This is a tense thriller which, for people who have been following the series, also gives some more insights into the lives of the main characters. I didn't enjoy it as much as some of the other books (the gory ones dealing with sicko serial killers - what does that say about me that a simple kidnapping isn't enough?!) because it deals with drugs and gangs, which I don't find as interesting as your standard murderous psychopath. Still, it's a very good read.
