Reviews: Ed & Lily (2)
“Great to curl up with in run up to Christmas!”
(Paperback)
by Carla Pryce
It's a recognisable characteristic, the guy who seems steady, kind but emotionally distant. Pair him with a woman who seems to tumble through life chaotically and wants to change the world and you have a classic formula for mis-communication. The characters are both likable - the view points cleverly switching between the two to keep you engaged. It's a tender, achingly familiar take on what can happen when two people's feelings for each other are tested by their perceived ideas of what motivates the other. A love story to make you smile and sigh in equal measure. A great winter read!
“A real treat!”
(Paperback)
by Ruth Dales
I loved this book. Ed and Lily are beautifully drawn characters with a relationship that the reader can enjoy. The story is about so much more than the cover notes suggest, woven through with an insightful back stories, including into the world of refugees and aid work which I found really interesting. And it has a nice home for Christmas vibe, so perfect for this time of year. Highly recommended.
