“Eclipse”

I have to say this was not my favourite of all the books but it was still a great read! The film was very good and i was wondering wether the book would appeal to me aswell. i did not have to worry. i liked the way that the wolves and vampires came together to overcome the bigger threat and how we got a taste of some of the other charaters and what they were feeling aswell. This book was extreamly good and should definitly be read!
“Alright at best”

I really enjoyed reading the Twilight Saga, and I found Eclipse particularly good for action and some real plot outside 'Edward loves Bella, Bella loves Edward', which was the main focus of the first two books. However, although this book brings some of the peripheral characters much more to the fore, I found myself unable to relate to Bella or Edward any longer. Edward becomes way too controlling for my liking, too dictatorial, and Bella doesn't seem bothered by this in the least. Bella also becomes particularly self-absorbed, and I find myself with less and less sympathy for her. The plot is great, and the development of minor characters (particularly Jasper and Rosalie) really adds something to the story, but unfortunately I'm left with little patience for the main characters, and a strange urge to punch Edward.
“Brilliant book of the series”

Eclipse is certainly a favourite of mine in the series! If you have just been reading the other two before it then this one certainly just brings a lot together nicely. So much more happens in the plot, there is now tension and questioning in Bella's decision on whom she wants to spend the rest of her life with Edward or Jacob. Also her choice of wanting to become a vampire is talked of a lot and decisions put into place, and a good action scene at the climax to the book is also a nice welcome. What else I loved were some of the back stories from the Cullen family and old legends around the camp fire from the Wolf people. Generally such a better novel than the last and the ending really leaves you craving the final book. But to be honest if you're a Team Edward like me, this book shall just appeal a lot more than the last in the end ;)
“Not my favourite, but worth a read.”

I love the fact that this book has more action and suspense than the other's in the series. The rivallary of fire and ice between Edward and Jacob is an interesting idea, that is well developed but Bella's self absorption is a little irritating at times. The book doesn't flow as well as the other's. I'm not even sure I could put my finger on why, but it's still worth a read.
“Strange yet Fun”

“Look after my heart - I’ve left it with you.” Eclipse is the third book in the Twilight Saga and sees Bella in danger once again as a vampire army (?) in Seattle makes its way to Forks in pursuit of Bella. The threat of the Volturi, Victoria and the ongoing rival between the werewolves and vampires puts Bella in the middle of one hell of a predicament. Okay so honestly I couldn’t remember a single thing that happened in this part of the series other than they go camping. I’d seen the film once before reading it I think so It really felt like a new story entirely to me. So In a way that was exciting but I also find myself getting frustrated very easily when I read when characters do things they obviously shouldn’t or I suppose things I wouldn’t. And Bella does that ALL THE TIME. Still…gotta love the twilight series. I enjoyed the second half of this book a lot more than the first half. The first half felt very slow and when the big reveal was revealed I was a bit disappointed because I didn’t even realise it was a big reveal…I just thought everyone knew it would be what it was - it’s so hard not to give spoilers! I’m sure people know the story anyway but I still like to try and keep it spoiler free just in case. Overall, this wasn’t my favourite instalment of the series but there were a few moments in the book that stood out to me, especially the proposal! Anyway, it was fun and I always love revisiting Forks. It’s a shame Jacob is now very creepy because in the first book I genuinely liked him - he was a great friend. But now he’s just weird. Like…move over dude. Team Edward for the win. Always.
