Reviews: Dune (34)
“Gorgeous edition!”
(Hardback)
What an amazing read! I can see why this one is still talked about over 50 years later! This is my first time reading the book and I was inspired into it by the gorgeous purple Waterstones edition and th new film that has been released. I haven’t yet watched the film, so I imagine my pronunciation of somethings are way off, but I will most definitely be watching it!
The characters and world the author weaves are unique and have depth. By no means did I find this an easy read, I found myself reading in 50 page stints and needing to process what I had read before continuing as a lot of information and new words, characters and places are thrown at you from the beginning. I love books like this though, that make you think and take me a a few weeks to get through. This book goes in the Epic category for me and I am keen to continue the series!
