I am a big Malorie Blackman fan and was extremely excited about her new novel. Double Cross is a "big read" with a powerful and sometimes unsettling storyline that nethertheless still lives up to the emotional levels that she achieved in Noughts and Crosses and the other books in the series. The messages that Double Cross evokes are very strong and by the end of the book you feel like you've been on a journey with each individual character. My only criticism would be that unlike the other three books in the series, we don't get a variety of narrators, instead one character is the significant narrator of the whole book. However i still think it was a brilliant read, and not just for teenagers - adults would probably like it too!!Well done Malorie Blackman!!

This book was absolutely amazing. The love between the two main characters was incredible, and the ending was perfect. Malorie Blackman is such a talented writer.
