“And inspirational biography from the two times CrossFit games champion”
(Hardback)
by Joanna at Waterstones Telford
I have enjoyed watching CrossFit over the last few years so was familiar with Katrin as one of the top athletes in the world. When I saw that she was releasing a biography I was keen to read it as she is an inspirational person in the discipline and I thought it would be interesting to read how she came to it and maybe learn somethings I could use in my own fitness pursuits. This book however goes deeper than just explaining her CrossFit journey. It is inspirational and moving and although an interest in fitness and sports would be a benefit to the reader, I think you could still enjoy it without that. One of the main things I have taken away from reading this book is Katrin’s motto of ‘be the best me’ - a reminder that we are all unique individuals and in competition with ourselves, so comparing ourselves to other people is just an unhelpful distraction. We need more women like Katrin for young girls to see as role models, strong not just physically but mentally.
