An absolute pleasure to read. Full of lots of laughs, strong characters, who really grow on you by the middle of the book. Matthews backstory is a little glazed over, I hope we learn a bit more in book 2 (which I preordered the moment I finished). Constant action, I couldn’t put it down! (It took me longer than usual because it was sandwiched either side of another book that I had been waiting for). I could easily have finished within the week had I focused on it! The only criticism I would have is that it gets a little confusing at points (mostly in the lead up to the ending). It has a colourful cast of characters but I struggled a couple of times to work out who was saying what. Other than that, an absolute delight, I laughed multiple times out loud whilst reading! I’m very excited for book 2 (paperback is being released on Thursday!) and then there’s book 3, releasing in hardback on Thursday, but I just tend to prefer to collect paperbacks! But would definitely recommend!
