We had so much fun playing Dobble Connect. My son always plays this in his after school club& the teachers always tell me he's really good at it. But we never had this game until now! This game was new to us adults as we had never played. We soon found the teachers were correct after our 5 year old beat us! You can play 1 to 1 or in a group. He really enjoyed his 1 to 1 with his mommy&daddy and his toddler brother learnt lots of new words through looking at the pictures and watching us play. We really recommend this game. It's so much fun&laughter for all the family and encourages problem solving, turn taking and discipline. We will most definitely be getting this game out when family& friends visit. We love the box for convenience of travel to take Dobble on family holidays. We would love to try all the other versions of Dobble games that are out there.

Our household have been big Dobble fans for a while so we were so excited to try out this new version. The adults in the house struggled to get to grips with this game as quickly as original Dobble but our 5 year old dived straight in winning the first few games in a row. The only warning I would give with this game is that (apart from being highly addictive!) you will need a bit more space to play compared to the original game. All in all it’s great fun & would make a great gift for any card game fan. I was gifted the game but my review is honest :)

I received this product for free but this is my honest review. Dobble is a firm family favourite, the competitive nature and fast paced game appeals to us if we want a quick game. Dobble connect for us seems to be a bit slower, less competitive and much more complicated. The idea is the same as the normal Dobble, you have symbols on your card which you need to match - great. However the gameplay changes whereby you need to match your symbol to that from cards of your own colour in order for you to make a line of four (in a row). This then wins you the round, your opponent gives you one of their cards and you continue in this fashion until you have the required number of trophies (starter cards) to win the game. We found that it would be a bit confusing for kids to try and explain but can see how they will enjoy matching the symbols. There are so many more new symbols on these cards too, some of which I couldn’t work out without looking at the included symbol key, which slowed me down a bit. In conclusion, I wouldn’t hesitate to play/buy the original Dobble/spot it, but would be cautious of buying it with the new mechanic. It isn’t one we will be playing often.

As a family, we really love the basic versions of Dobble, and this has potential to be a great game. But for my kids, the 'not taking turns' element made it too hard and stressful for my 6 year old son, and the addition of handing over cards when points have been won is just unnecessarily complicated. I'm sure it works for others, but for us, we will stick with normal Dobble! We got this for free but this is an honest review.

A new version of the original Dobble game. But unfortunately there are a few negatives to this game. As a family we love that the original Dobble can be pulled out anywhere for a quick and easy fun game. With Dobble connect you need to have quite a large play space such as a big table or floor area to be able to play. Also with the original Dobble there are a few ways to play, making it a multi use game! With Dobble connect there is only really one way to play and the instructions are ant very clear. We had to google how to play and it took quite a while to figure it out. We played this with a group of adults and one of them is colour blind so really struggled to join in with the colours which we hadn’t even given a thought too haha! It was fun and because we love Dobble anyway it is nice to have the variety of the new game in the style of connect 4. But as the heading says. Sometimes if things aren’t broken they don’t fix them. The original is so brilliant I don’t think anything will measure up to it really.
