As a family, we've been playing Dobble for a fair few years now & have various themed versions. My boys are aged 7 and 9 now and we were really excited to try out a new Dobble game - yes, it felt a little complicated the very first time we tried it as we had the rules in our hand as we played & it took a bit of time to get used to the new style of the icons on the cards, but after that first round, we were off! This game is a lot more tactical than original Dobble as you're trying to get your own cards in a row & keep an eye on everyone else's game, so it's even more fast paced - and there's the added jeopardy that once you win, you have to pick up some of your opponent's cards, meaning that you can block yourself if you're not careful! We've been away on holiday with friends & played lots of card/board games, but Dobble Connect is the one that's always got the loudest reaction! Dobble Connect is a great addition to the Dobble family: fast paced, exciting, and tactical - we love it!

It’s the first time we had a pleasure to play the game and we loved it so much, hours of playing and playing and compeating who is the best at it. The only down side is you need a large space to play the game, we started off on kitchen table and quickly ran out of space, so it’s good to play on the floor, but it’s not as comfortable and you dont play as long as at table

Having never played Dobble before I had no idea what to expect or how to play. The cards are large pieces and are easy to hold and the bright colourful pictures are very eye catching. we found the rules were a bit complicated to get our head round at first but found it easier once we played a few practice rounds. We didn’t play with more than 4 players. The aim of the game is to make a row of 4 cards in your colour, each matching a symbol on the previous card, without an opponent blocking your run with their card. As everyone plays at the same time the rounds are quick and snappy so it is easy to pick up play and put down again without feeling like it’s dragging on. And as everyone plays at the same time there’s no waiting for people to take turns. It can feel a little frantic at times as everyone is searching for a matching symbol but that just adds to the fun! The small compact box of cards is easy to transport in a bag or luggage, making it the perfect addition to a party, night in with friends or a holiday! Plus with an age recommendation of 8+ years it’s a great game to play with the family (of all ages!) for some fun and quality time together.

This will bring out the competitive side in anyone, even my granny, brilliant game for travel and at home play and fun for the whole family. Brilliant.

We are a household of Dobble fans, so we’re delighted to try an old favourite with a new twist. We play after every meal time sat at the table and screen time is down! We also get the grandparents to join in - they are getting faster and enjoy it as much as the younger players! They have suggested if they could have a set made with seniors in mind just by having bigger cards with bigger images as they have belong to so many social clubs this would make a very welcome activity to introduce to more friends etc. It does generate a lot of noise in our house and plenty of banter and disagreements, but this is one game that won’t be in a drawer gathering dust!
