I had long enjoyed trying to capture those key moments or amazing places with my camera but like many, I suspect, I had never fully understood or obtained the full potential of my camera. This excellent book addresses both of those issues in a really enjoyable and easily accessible way. It starts by taking a little time to talk about the basics of photographic principles, moves on to then explain in generic terms what all those buttons and switches are for on your camera and then you're ready to get started with getting on with creating beautiful pictures. The book is cleverly set out as a course, as if you were studying but of course, if there are elements which you have less interest in, such as portrait photography, you can always skip past to the next subject. However, I've found that the book is written in such an engaging way that it's just as enjoyable to read through all the sections, plus by doing so, it is helping me to better understand how some of the features of my camera and the lenses actually work and benefit the results of my photography. A very good book that is as informative as it is interesting and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about photography.
