Yet again Dean Koontz has created something wonderful with this Odd Thomas story. As we continue to follow Odd along the mystery filled path he is taking more evil arises and more questions come about. As always, Odd is his usual loveable self. As for Dean Koontz, he writes in the usual manner that people quickly grow to love: his usual mix of emotions, suspense and laughter where it is necessary. In this instalment Odd meets more mysterious characters who you soon grow to love (and in other cases hate seems as though they are the antagonists). Moreover, things start happening which in prior books we believed to be impossible – although to say what would be to say too much, so just be ready to have your mind blown. Moreover, it appears as though Odd is starting to work his way towards answers, although my fingers are crossed that these answers which are sure to come in later book(s) do not mean the end of this loveable series. Honestly, if you have read any of the Odd Thomas series this is another must have. If you haven’t read any of them I would recommend buying them all so you can sit down and read them all – they’re well worth it.
