“Superb dark thriller”
(Paperback)
Drop-out Sven has established a successful diving school on the island of Lanzarote and is content with his unassuming, down-to-earth life away from the rat race.
All this is sorely challenged as he accepts a lucrative exclusive tuition contract and a slightly unhinged celebrity couple comes crashing into his well-ordered world.
Flailing actress Jola and Theo, a novelist suffering from writer’s block have a volatile
relationship and Sven, although at first appalled, is soon sucked into their orbit.
While Sven is an expert in his beloved and dangerous underwater world, he is wholly unprepared for the even more dangerous manipulations happening around him on dry land.
With at least one unreliable narrator this tightly plotted, claustrophobic thriller keeps the reader guessing, although it is clear from the start that it’s not going to end well.
It’s a great page-turner, which will appeal to readers of ‘Gone Girl’.
