I am a huge psychological thriller fan and I LOVE a Freida McFadden book because even though I have read them all she still surprises me with the plot twists! Dear Debbie is a nail-biting, gripping, fast-paced and brilliant thriller that you will not want to put down. The suspense throughout is as crime thrillers should be and the twists, well they are just jaw-dropping. I love Freida’s writing and the way the plots just keep building and building and this did not disappoint at all. I love the short snappy character chapters which enable the book to be well-paced and you are just taken on a rollercoaster ride throughout. This book is fantastic as always and I look forward to reading the next one published! I want to say a huge thank you to the publishers for sending me an advanced ready copy of this brilliant book.

I’ve read a lot of Freida’s books and this has to be one of my favourites! We follow wife & mother of two girls, Debbie, as she goes to unspeakable measures to protect her family and get revenge for herself. The different POV’s give a special kind of depth to the story and just when you think you know what’s happening there’s a complete flip! I wasn’t able to put this books down - it was one of those times when you finish the book and you stare at the wall for 5 minutes!

This gave me the feeling I had reading my first ever Freida book. I was gripped the whole time. The plot is interesting, different, and the twists just hit! I instantly became obsessed with the main character Debbie. I would provide her an alibi for whatever she needs no questions asked. I would actually love for her unhinged Dear Debbie responses to be made into a satirical advice book. I would absolutely read that. This really keeps you guessing. You start to question what's actually happening and start to doubt everyone. It's a book that really takes you on a ride through the story. It's fast paced and you won't be able to put it down! So cleverly woven that you won't see the twists coming but they make perfect sense. A fantastic psychological thriller. This book is fighting for top spot as my fav Freida read. I definitely recommend it. Thank you to Poisoned Press. This is my honest opinion.

4.75⭐️ Debbie is a newspaper agony aunt until she loses her job, her life starts spiralling out of control. This is a lighthearted fun revenge story. Debbie is certainly an interesting character! I couldn’t say likeable, but I didn’t judge her actions as I was too busy chuckling. It’s great the way the tongue in cheek draft Dear Debbie letters with her quippy answers match her current predicaments. For me this is Freida’s funniest book, The Devil Wears Scrubs books are light and entertaining, but this is in a different league. Freida is constantly evolving as an author keeping her writing fresh and entertaining. This is one of my favourites.
