This is my first book by Tom Bale. Harry Manning is out for revenge after his son Freddie died at a party held in a derelict building owned by Nathan Webb. One day, he meets Erin Webb unaware at first she is Nathan's wife. As their friendship develops, she helps him to find the evidence he needs but at a cost as Nathan is a very violent man. I love this novel, good gripping and a page turner.

A thoroughly enjoyable crime thriller. I've read and enjoyed previous books by Tom Bale so I knew I was in for a roller coaster ride. Deadly Games kept me on the edge of my seat while Harry Manning was seeking justice for his son. Highly recommend this book

Wow what did I just read? Full on atmospheric with loads of tension and memorial characters. Tom Bale is an author that should be an household name. Harry whose son has died and the inquiry verdict misadventure which he doesn't accept and Erin the wife of Nelson the man Harry thinks killed his son. Two characters that you root for. I would love to see this as a limited tv series. Thank to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for this review ARC.

What a cracker of a book! I was drawn in straight away and read it in one sitting. (Who needs to do housework haha) A blistering read that just kept me hooked all the way through. Harry Manning has just lost his son to a tragic accident, but he's convinced there is more to it, and he's going to prove it.
