Reviews: Dead Man's Grip (10)
“Gripping indeed.”
(Paperback)
by Nocturnal bibliophile
Both my mum and I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I've read them all to date and each one has been superb. For Mum, though it was a first time foray into the world of Roy Grace. And she loved it, I've lent her copies of the earlier books in the hope that she enjoys those too. In this novel we find out yet more of what happened to Sandy, and there is a great twist developing in that regard! We also are left with tantalising glimpses of a cold case and some possible follow-on storylines. A surprise cameo appearance of a character from the Shoe Man storyline in the preceding novel makes for a chuckle-some section. A very well executed plot with impeccable attention to detail ensures the reader is kept hooked to the very last word.
“Excellent Read.”

The gripping story with an excellent insight into Roy Grace life fears etc. Plus gripping story that makes you not want to put it down. Thank you Peter. Ordering next book. Cannot wait to see what develops.

I'm a sucker for Roy Grace. I wasn't sure about the use of the Mafia connection - kind of OTT. But it's well written and I just can't wait for the next one!

The Roy Grace books are usually very good. The police investigations feel authentic and well researched. I thought this one was up there with the better entries in the series - the plot was gripping and it had good pace, I wanted to know what would happen next.
“Brilliant”

Roy Grace is his usual professional self, but has to contend with an ACC who seems more concerned with politics than results. Personal issues simmer in Grace's background (don't want to say too much!) and there is an occasional appearance from a name from the past....I reckon this individual may well feature in the next book. Overall a very entertaining read with an unexpected twist near the end....
