I absolutely loved this book. It is a brilliant start to Chris d'Lacey's new series, The UNICORNE Files. Chris' writing is often very cryptic and sometimes complicated to understand, but that's why I love it!! It draws you in because you yearn to understand what's going on, but still gives you plenty of juicy plot and intriguing characters to enjoy whilst your brain tries to work it all out. If The Last Dragon Chronicles are anything to go by, we probably won't get all the answers to the many questions left to us at the end of A Dark Inheritance until the very last book, however with a series this gripping, that's hardly a disappointment. This is a fantastic addition to Chris' writing credits, and will definitely be enjoyed by fans of his dragon books and anyone who enjoys a good supernatural thriller!!
