Simple formula , a big dog gets infected with rabies and from there on its a down hill ride , following the dogs decent into insanity . Cujo terrorizes a young mother and her child trapped in their car . The terror jumps off the page and played along side a tapestry of characters , King at his best .

A rabid dog terrorises a mother and son trapped in a car by a deserted house. Disturbing and very tense, this is a great monster story. King takes a few relatively simple ideas (a broken down car, a trapped mother and son, and a rabid dog) and crafts a very scary novel full of suspense and tragedy. I would recommend this to all horror fans.
