Read Geoff White’s book Crime Dot Com – I absolutely love it! I love it so much I sent signed copies to my whole Exec team! This book perfectly encapsulates the human side of information and cyber security – it’s brilliantly written and explains the background to some really interesting events. The most interesting thing about most things (including information security) is the people, and the storytelling that Geoff brings to this subject is superb.

I found this a fascinating, eye-opening, and at some points scary read - lengths that criminals and scammers will go to, and the fact that most of us are completely oblivious to this as we go about out online lives. Raised some real issues for me about the links and synergies between hackers, scammers, security services, internet pioneers and tech companies. Very thoroughly researched, detailed yet pleasingly readable for people like me who don't have a deep understanding of tech.
