Reviews: Consider the Fork (1)
“Kitchen Clutter or Essential Equipment?”
(Hardback)
Consider the Fork is a very enjoyable and entertaining look at all those things we take for granted in the kitchen. It is split up into sections that take a particular function and explore the variations and developments; for example pots and pans, fire, and measure. Each one looks at cultural and historical differences, successes and failures. The book is well-researched, but with an anecdotal style that makes it easy to dip into. It's easy to become utterly absorbed by this book; I recommend it highly.
