He writes in a conversational style that makes me believe he is sitting close and relating his anecdotes. Take in mind some of the sly comments made of him by William Friedkin and William Golding ( exocist 2 and Excalibur ) I have never heard Boorman respond, instead he talks well of everyone, he doesn't need to respond to those comments in truth, he just needs to communicate in the way he does in this book. No great revelations but a simple after meal talk on many subjects we know well but still enjoy.
