Please ignore my previous review as I had not read the book sufficiently to give a honest review. As a guide and introduction to computer programming it is a very good start and gives you many options for self study and potential career opportunities. Although there are some minor errors, like with most books about complicated subjects, but it teaches you to focus on the detail more. I recommend this book as a good introduction to computer programming.

This is not a good book for the novice programmer because it assumes you know for more about the basics of computer programming. I know what Int, char and #include mean, int= integer, char= character and the latter is pre written code for input and output of data, because I studied programming in C thirty years ago. Unfortunately Mr. Chan does explain the vocabulary of computer programming and assumes far too much of the user.
