I really admire Elise for telling her story warts and all which inspires you as the reader to consider what your adventure could be. Well written and Elise’s honesty and writing style make it a heart warming read. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

FABULOUS from start to finish! Elise is an inspiration who has found the secret ingredient to running.... cake! During 10 days of isolation, her words took me on an adventure around the country. She made me laugh out loud, cry and help me begin to find my adventurous side again! The perfect book to help us all remember what life is like without a pandemic! I highly recommend this book to everyone!

I couldn't put this down, not sure I'll be running 5000 miles but every page made me crave adventure so much after 15 months of lockdowns + restrictions. Also gave me an appreciation for how little of the UK I've seen despite living here for 29 years. Very inspiring.

Thank you Elise for writing this book. There are strong inspirational messages throughout, my favourite being ‘you are under no obligation to be the same person you were 5 minutes ago’ a quote by Alan Watts. The book has talked to me throughout about how we choose to see things. The story of all the places that I already knew about or now want to visit was also fabulous.

I had followed Elise's progress during her adventure on social media and, to be honest, I was astonished that she finished the journey around the UK coastline (sorry Elise). Having now read this brilliant account of the journey I can see just how much she at times struggled, and at times delighted throughout the adventure. This book is remarkably frank, open and honest and I highly recommend it. Even if Elise doesn't see herself as an adventurer (I think she is) she certainly is a very gifted story-teller...
