this book was one of my xmas presents, i read the 300 page book in only 3 days! it is full of action and exitment which would thrill readers from 12 and up. would not reccomend this book to anyone bellow the age of 12 as it includes sex references, swearing and drug use.
“Fantastic follow up”

I read Muchamore's first novel 'The Recruit' whilst on holiday in Italy and I was instantly impressed the way he built up such a degree of realism that made CHERUB and the world of James Adams almost tangible. Muchamore explores discoveries teenagers make throughout their lives as they prorgress and continues this further into 'Class A' in which James must bring down the most powerful cocaine dealer in Europe. I loved the book and the depth it added to the world of CHERUB. Muchamore's books are an essential for any teenager's book shelves.

Back of the net! Muchamore scores with every attack in this superb second installment of the Cherub series. James Adams is back in top form as the 'heroic chav' of the intelligence world. I love the fact these kids actually act like real teenagers not a 1950's idyllic version of kids (Charlie Higson, Anthony Horowitz!!!!)If you want your teenage son to put the playstation down and pick up a book then this is the series for you. BRILLIANT FUN!!!

ahhhhh, the Cherub series... This probably sounds wierd but this book makes utterly compulsive reading with a tight and intriguing plot which funny enough makes you hate the novel all the more. Written in the third person, you follow James Adams, spy, black belt in karate, multi lingual...And a complete jerk! He, while acting like a total retard, attempts to uncover the drug network, KMG. The author has definitely an indepth knoledge of the criminal underworld and very little knoledge on kids. The children in this book are 1dimensional, bratty and despite all those 'intensive training courses' pretty stupid. Being a kid myself, and knowing lots of other kids, I know with certainty that, while not being secret agents or Ninjas, are a hell of a lot more interesting. While I won't deny this book reads like a speeding bullet, and Cherub campus is far more realized and believable then many other secret agencies in other novels, the bad language is totally un-neccesary and through out the book you want to punch James in the face! What fustrates me all the more is that book sellers call them masterpieces make younger readers read them because it sais (in very cool boyish font) that they shouldn't read them. I am at a loss at what to tell you to do. Because, ironically, after reading this book and being outraged, I bought 'Maximum Security'....Yep, so that was my indepth, totally confusing and fustrating analysis on the irritating yet loveable Class A.
