This is a wonderful book. It begins very gently (assuming virtually no prior knowledge) with the properties of the reals, and proceeds to give discussions of concepts like limits and continuity. Only once such concepts have been thoroughly explained does Spivak introduce derivatives and integrals. There are plenty of examples and exercises, so it's good for self study. In an ideal world, I think more of the exercises would have solutions, but nevertheless it's a great book. Definitely recommended.
